Mabon is the modern Pagan name for the Autumn Equinox, in the Celtic Wheel of the Year it is the second of the Harvest Festivals and is a time of celebration, gratitude and welcoming in the waning part of the year. Even though Mabon is a modern title for the Autumn Equinox, this second harvest festival has been celebrated and honoured for thousands of year. The equinox takes place on the 22nd September this year at 20:20(gmt) and marks the balance between light and dark. After this moment of balance, the days will begin to shorten and darken as we make our way towards the winter.
In this course we will be exploring the symbology, spiritual significance, mythology and folklore associated with this time of year and what this can mean for us in the modern day. Autumn is a time of year that is rich in magic, the veil between worlds begins to thin as we head towards Samhain and the Otherworld begins to speak to us. I have combined my background in Celtic spirituality, meditation, art and yoga to bring you this course jam packed with magic, ritual, self care and ceremony.
