Every now and again, a writer will slip into a space where they just don’t feel like writing. Whether they are feeling blocked, or uninspired, or just plain ol’ not-in-the-mood, lethargy can take over and make writing a chore instead of the artistic dream of storytelling.
Whether you write fiction, nonfiction, or poetry, a daily writing prompt is a good exercise to get you into the habit of writing regardless of your mood, and it can help to stimulate the creative flow. You’ll find that switching your attention for a little while, and/or using prompts as a warm-up can make it easier to get down to the nitty-gritty when you return to writing your main project.
Every day for 30 days, you’ll receive a unique writing prompt to help you get into the practice of writing daily. The themes will be dark, lush, magickal, and thought-provoking, in order to tap into the deepest part of your imagination. Make the dedication to write for ten minutes, and feel free to share your day’s work in the comment areas, where other writers can support and inspire you.
This creative writing workshop is offered free of charge and is guided by Priestess Brandi Auset, creatrix of dark fiction, sensual poetry, and Goddess Spirituality non-fiction.
