“One should aspire to be like the vase that Guan Yin carries, the vase which pours compassion and loving kindness into the world”.
{Grandmaster Lin Yun}
Welcome to the Pure Spring Temple. Amidst the fragrance of sandalwood incense dancing in calligraphy clouds and sputtering pink lotus candles, ordinary drinking water rests beneath Kuan Yin statues and is transfigured into miraculous dew by mystical rituals of intention, mantra, prayer and visualization.
The women collect this holy water from the altar and bring it home to bless their family (including animals and plants) with Kuan Yin’s nectar of compassion.
All over the world, from ancient times to present day, Kuan Yin’s waters are used for drinking, cleansing, purification, healing, making wishes and blessings as She pours “spiritual rain like nectar quenching all the flames of distress.”
Please join me for the ancient devotion of making and enjoying Great Compassion Water as you experience a direct connection with the Mother of Mercy through Her holy dew!
